About Us

We are a Nonprofit Organization consisting of a team of Research Scholars and Alumni of esteemed institutions in India such as IITs, ISRO, TIFR etc who are passionate about communicating Science to the public. We strive to provide quality education, counseling and infrastructure to children in need.

At our core, we believe that scientific knowledge should be accessible to everyone. Through our workshops, talks, and interactive sessions, we strive to bridge the gap between the scientific community and the public. Our journey in science communication has been filled with moments of inspiration, where we’ve seen eyes light up with understanding and heard questions that push the boundaries of our own knowledge.

We are not just scientists; we are storytellers, explorers of the universe within and beyond.

” Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.”

Our thoughts..

This is not a fish market! 😀

The learning environment at our place allows the educators to give the time and attention that the children need in order to perform well. We believe in keeping class numbers low, thus restricting the Student-Teacher ratio to a maximum of 10:1 to maximize learning potential.

Don’t just learn, understand! 🙂

Children at a young age have a tendency of rote learning which may prove to be disastrous in the long run. We encourage students to understand the fundamentals of a concept, thus equipping them to retain the concept for a longer period of time.

Don’t be a minimum guy! 😉

We not only want our students to excel in their school studies but also want them to come up with flying colors in extracurricular activities and competitions. Our aim is to prepare them for the real world challenges.

The Challenge

We currently have 35 children hailing from humble families learning with us, their parental occupation being house helps, security guards, etc. Initially when these kids came to us, most of them were unable to read even in a single language, be it English or their mother tongue. The challenge was to start educating them from the very basic, which meant teaching them how to read syllables first, their variations followed by making them read complete words and then an entire sentence. This tested our grit as well as patience, as we hadn’t expected that a child studying in ‘class 9’ would not be able to read! This was the case with most of the kids, irrespective of their age group or the school they went to.

We struggled but remained consistent with our efforts. We are proud to say that all the kids studying with us are now ‘literate’. Many of them are now also able to solve basic arithmetic operations. We don’t want to stop here. We have already instilled a thirst for knowledge among these kids (they never fail to ask for homework!), we want to groom them and make them capable enough to stand on their own feet and create a bright and an illuminating career for themselves.

Our aim is to build a strong team to reach out to greater number of children in need and provide them with quality education, counseling and infrastructure so that one day they are able to free their families from the shackles of poverty.
